Austin has been deeply involved in the establishment and development of the HKDSE system, by leading the earliest group of educators in the mainland. 
He has also focused on building and developing the teaching and research team of HKDSE curriculum.

He has taught hundreds of students and helped them enter prestigious universities such as the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the University of California, Berkeley, Boston University, Oxford University, and the University College London.
